this is near my office. it's on my lunch rotation. never had anything bad. I suggest the curry chick peas and curry potatos. the orders take a while to assemble, call in your order heading time.

Overall: delicious food, great menu, prices are a little high but the serving sizes are very big, service is sometimes slow I'm a big fan of their kofta. Most of their meats are cooked and seasoned well. Once i had salmon though and that was really dry. I love all their choices for sides. They are all super yummy. Their eggplant is so tender and flavorful and they have some of the best fries you can find.

Maiwand Kabob is a consistent stop for me when in Columbia for my visits to Hopkins. I am able to get some wonderful gluten free options. I especially love the Brown rice (that has a savory taste with raisins), chicken/chicken kabob combo. I have also begun getting their new mint lemonade. The service is always excellent and they are open to swapping sides to make it work for you. It is clean and I often see families gather there for dinner. There is plenty of seating. Check them out! I have frequented locations in Columbia and by BWI.

Two thumbs up to Maiwand Kabob!! Decided to give it a try after passing it by for months. I'm not a huge kabob fan, but this place is so much more than that. I stopped in on a Friday night and saw that the daily special was lamb curry with potatoes. Yummy!! They have a different special each day of the week. Since this was my first visit I didn't want to get too carried away with my order, so I just grabbed the special which was right around $15. Can't beat that. The place is really nice inside and great for dining in. I grabbed mine to go. I noticed some of the reviews said their food took a long time. I didn't experience that. Food was ready in 10 mins. Granted it could have been what I ordered. Got home and couldn't wait to dig in. The portion is huge and could turn into two meals. You get a large serving of rice, the lamb and potatoes, side salad and naan. Whoa!!! Everything had amazing flavor, the lamb was nice and tender, and the green sauce it comes with is so fresh and light. I will say, the curry lamb was a bit on the greasy side but I assume that's just how this dish comes. Overall a win for me! Look forward to trying some of their other dishes.

First of all our server Valentina is the sweetest human being. She was so pleasant and accommodating to our needs. That she gave us everything we asked for with such a sweet smile. She was very lovely and we were all very happy with her service. The food was amazing. Everything was great. The meats were soft and the naan bread was divine. The mango shake was soooooo good. I love it! It was just the right amount of sweetness. The whole place was huge and beautiful. With nice chandeliers so it doesn't feel like just a regular restaurant. It elevates it a little bit. It was very spacious.

Love this place, the food is constantly great. The place is clean and the staff is friendly. Does need better lighting, feels like it could be brighter

I have been here before and will continue to come back. I had no idea this is the original location. Staff is nice and courteous. Food is delicious. Best Hummus, rich and creamy, this maybe the best Hummus around. I had the daily special, Good food at a good value. Drink selection is not the best.

Dined here for dinner last night and glad I go to try this place out! I started to become a little impatient with the 20 minute wait since the restaurant wasn't crowded, but was told the kabobs take a little while to cook. And I rather them cook it the right way for it to be delicious and oh it definitively was. I had the daily special which was the chicken curry and my husband the chicken tikka kabob. Chicken curry was good, not spicy. Both dishes come with rice, salad, naan, and a very tasty sauce. The standout was the chicken tikka kabob, seasoned and tasted very nicely. Even the rice with it was different from mine and I loved the spices it was cooked with. Enjoyed the naan too. Huge portions and definitely great price point for all the food you get, plus quality. Restaurant is super clean (as well its bathroom). Staff is friendly. Definitely will be a repeat customer!

Pretty great service from pretty great staff !! I was greeted by Mishell S upon entry, and she was so helpful. I had more questions than a curious toddler. The dining area was very clean and welcoming. I ordered the Monday Chef's Special, which was Curry Lamb. It came out pretty fast and was tasty. You get a lot of bang for your buck !! 2 sides, an entrée and bread. I definitely had leftovers. I will return to try a few other menu items. Give it a try if you haven't already. You won't be disappointed.

I'm a regular here. The place is always clean. The food is always delicious. Fair price for the quality of the food. What other reasons can I give to give this place a try.
